CHARACTER SYNOPSIS
WRESTLING STYLE:
Devin has received wrestling training, but over time, his dependence on actual wrestling skill has deteriorated. He will steal moves, taunts, and mannerisms in order to mentally torment his opponent. He will exploit injuries and cause them in order to exploit them even more. He relishes the pain and suffering of his opponents but keeps it under a farce of trying to win by any means necessary. A coward? No, he just wants you to believe that. Everything seems to be a nuanced performance dedicated to hiding the truly sick person that has proposed in a deathmatch-exclusive environment. To fall into that mindset again is not necessarily a bad thing to him. Horrifically, he relies on technical wrestling and a methodical pace to maintain his dominance throughout a match. He'll bend fingers and try everything to make sure his opponents hurt and understand why.
CHARACTER ANALYSIS:
Devin’s life is latent with egotism, but over the past few years of his life, it has become muted regarding the mature aspects of her psyche. Though he still has a prevailing favoritism towards his skillset, he knows that there’s more to competing than just being the best. He views the newer generation as something to overcome, but something to respect for the fact that the future is the only thing that is ensured. For that, he tends not to take on the egotistical tone he would normally, merely stating things he sees as fact. Even then, he is self-aware enough through experience to know what many of the younger people will say to him is asinine at best. Thus, he tries not to let things bother him like it would formerly.
Underneath everything is the person that Devin created to survive in the ultraviolence world of 2007-2010 era wrestling. His desire to excel manifested itself into a malevolent individual, set on using manipulation of people and a creative usage of weaponry to win matches. That persona was what led Devin to winning the first three of his world championships, but it also came with the issue of universal hatred. Since the federations, such as REW and JHW, were filled with roster members who never bothered to even respect one another, Devin grew to despise the roster and everyone in professional wrestling. It made easy to cause the physical, mental, and emotional damage he dealt.
Finally, in the tragedies that he has suffered, Brando has become quietly unhinged. He’s comfortable playing the role that God put out for him. He could never be anything but the horrible monster he is, and now it’s a matter of knowing it and putting on the best display he can.
STRENGTHS: (minimum of 1, maximum of 3)
1. A DECADE OF HURTING PEOPLE - Devin has spent a majority of his career with a need to prove himself by any means necessary. He has hurt, he has maimed, and he will do it all again. Harboring this mentality has made him not only learn wrestling in general but utilize said experience in the most heinous of ways. There aren't many tricks that can fool Devin, as he has been subscribed to the book for eons now. He has faced all matters of opponents. He has competed on the smallest stage to the biggest, winning a wide variety of championships--from the tertiary to the primary.
2. THE BRILLIANT MIND OF A PSYCHOPATH - Not being the largest guy in many of his promotions when he was younger meant that Devin had to get creative with his tactics. Over time, it proved successful and eventually led to him honing that technicality and awareness into one of his most lethal weapons. Adding in the dangerous mind of a man who stopped caring for the well-being of others? You have gathered together a truly dark mind that continues to fester through his career.
3. A MONK'S PATIENCE - Rounding out his skillset, where Devin has tried to apply many styles to himself, there is a patience to everything he does. He doesn't seem to do things haphazardly nor out of any reason but something well thought out. It's not unusual to see Devin wait to attack his targets, waiting upward to a year to do so. Yet, he does it with a questioning temptation that fellow roster members and audiences can pick up on. It's akin to a trapdoor spider, an ambush predator. Devin will wait, analyze, stalk, and then hunt.
FLAWS: (minimum of 1, maximum of 3)
1. A WEATHERED BODY - Unfortunately, Devin's choice in competing in deathmatches and ruthless environments has had their toll on his body. Though he still operates at a level that it's not notable, Devin's body bears the scars of old wars. Thus, there are injuries that may afflict him and sins that still plague his mind.
2. A CREATURE OF HABIT - Devin has tried to play the role of a hero but his essence reeks of someone who has done horrendous evils. You can't garner the fans' adoration or sympathy after you have done things such as: endanger a person's family out of vengeance, purposefully injure a man's neck to rid him from a company, and even turn a former hero's heart black to assist you in your endeavors.
3. AN OLD MAN'S EGO - As a ten year veteran of the sport, Devin has a nasty habit of looking down on younger talent.

ENTRANCE THEME:
Rain by Mai Yamane
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION:
The introduction of "Rain" by Mai Yamane came in a haunting tune of a church organ. The arena falls into a deep red as Brando makes his way onto the stage. He looks directly into the ring, his piercing light eyes dropping on that alone. The fog that lingers around threatens to swallow him whole. Yet, he does not stand there long. The crowd is at a hush, feeling the emanating force of the solemn destroyer of man. It takes what feels like an eternity for Brando to break away from his statue-like stance at the tip of the stage. Once he does, there is an eerie motion to it all, a burst of energy summoning the effort to move.
He starts his way down the ramp, a methodical march to war. His stance is loose, teasing his black coat to whip around. As Mai belts out the depressive lyrics, Brando reaches the end of the walkway. He closes his eyes and brings his hand up to his face, lightly touching the scars on his face. He continues into the ring where he stays on the mat for a moment. He raises slowly, cracking the joints of his body. Brando, the self-proclaimed Last King, gives a wanton glance to the audience, only giving them that remnant of care. But just as soon as he cast it, his eyes drift to the matter at hand...the match.

BIOGRAPHY
[DISCLAIMER: These are events from a bygone era of Create-A-Wrestler federations and E-fedding. I’m trying my best to reconstruct it into a proper narrative as the original documentations are things I wrote when I was too young to be competent and were rightly burned into nothingness.]
Devin Gregor Brando wasn’t born to be a wrestler necessarily. Watching only a few matches growing up, he had an appreciation for the sport as Canada was widely known as one of the beacons of professional wrestling. Devin wanted to be a teacher across nations, educating people in language and the history of the English culture. An active athlete throughout life, Devin excelled in hockey and soccer, but only played into his collegiate years, thanks to the scholarships benefits. He graduated from the University of Ottawa, starting his career in teaching, and all seemed to go well.
What exactly happened to Devin to make him start the path to being a multiple-time world champion?
Like many do, it starts in a gym. Devin opted to join in on some sparring matches, using his slight MMA base to try to help professional wrestlers work on their technical ability. Over time, he began to enjoy these little bouts, until he was able to fend for himself. He went from not being taken down to even trapping some of his opponents in situations they couldn’t escape. Before long, a mysterious man wearing a suit straight out of a mobster movie approached Devin. He told him that he was an officer for La Fábrica del Infierno. He said that his look was good for the time and that he would excel in the ring if he gave it a fair shot.
Devin, understanding this, decided to take the plunge. Maintaining his career as a high school English teacher, he would train during nights until he was able to secure a space in his first ever federation, Just Hardcore Wrestling, an aptly named organization that had just opened in 2006. A gimmicky federation that found its flavor in hardcore wrestling, JHW served to niche audience.
Just Hardcore Wrestling (2007-2009)
Under his real name, Devin Brando, he would become a fan favorite, due to his atypical dashing looks. In JHW, the norm was a gritty appearance that favored more to the deathmatch style of the time. That fan favorite attitude, alongside his work ethic, led to him being brought closer to the forefront of promotional material. Never would he consider himself a draw, Devin continued his training to become better. His microphone work was basic in his mind, so he sought to improve that.
Devin competed against a man simply by the name of Fang for their United States Championship. Winning it, the success only was short-lived until he lost it in a month to one of his first rivals in “Cowboy” Black Spider. During this time, Devin began to lean off his career as a teacher. Taking some time off to finish up his last year, Devin began to develop his new persona, which was soon to debut under Devin KONSTANTINE. With black hair and some eye black, the young fan favorite found his footing as a villain set to take the world of professional wrestling by storm.
Defeating the MS Factor, the current JHW World Champion, in an open challenge match, Devin secured his first top championship. The abrupt nature of the win led many to wonder just where Devin trained, but Devin’s main event success came to a halt as a merger transpired and JHW became assimilated into the Elite Wrestling Foundation. The aftermath of it left Devin without his championship and journeying into a new place with a whole new roster of both familiar and fresh faces.
Reckless Elite Wrestling (2009 - 2013)
Reckless Elite Wrestling would prove to be the place that would craft Devin into the person he is today. Joining under the same persona of Devin KONSTANTINE, Devin would have to climb the ranks again, starting with the newly established REW United States Championship. During this time, Devin would establish a faction known as the Bloodstain Menagerie, a group of like-minded rookies who could use the watch of a young but established talent. Under his regime, Devin kept a stranglehold on the REW United States Championship, defeating many of the growing and popular talent at the time. Most famous examples would include people like Brain Walker, a hard-working blue-collar worker who had fans gravitate towards his solemn, but honest demeanor. On the flip side, he would start an overarching rivalry with Derek Draim, who would become a member and a potential usurper of the Bloodstain Menagerie. Draim would defeat KONSTANTINE for the United States Championship before losing it right back at a rematch later in time. The loyalty to both the faction and to their ideology left the two with an overwhelming respect for one another. Their series of matches over the United States Championship were lovely additions to the cards, elevating them both with the personal feelings driven into the narrative of their wonderful matches. Devin’s second reign as United States Championship would end as he would once again lose to old rival Black Spider, despite all sorts of interference from the Menagerie.
Main Event Aspirations (2010 - 2012)
With a strong stable rearing him, Brando took the chance to head towards the REW World Championship. Yet, standing in the way was the hulking behemoth known as Reborn. Reborn was an undefeated competitor with power that dwarfed many before him, in addition to that was the penance for violence and overwhelming durability. Devin would strike the first blow, letting the Menagerie aid him in stealing the championship. The numbers game proved somewhat successful in making Reborn look a sliver weaker, but the wrath that followed left Devin by himself. The feud that would commence forced Devin to evolve into the true monster that many didn’t know existed. In REW and JHW, the pretty boy look and flamboyance covered up a deep-seated sadism and evil that would slowly seep out, thanks to Reborn’s presence. In order to defeat a demon, Devin must let the facade fall to pieces.
In the culmination of a six-month feud, Devin would make Reborn tap out to the Garrote 47, having to accent the chokehold with barbed wire to get Reborn to submit. On the night of December 5th, 2010, Devin KONSTANTINE stood at the top of a bloody world as a newly emerged figure. The gorgeous looks that he claimed and portrayed were a thin mask over something truly gruesome. He would manage to avoid Reborn’s ensuring wrath, getting a false win over the monster again via Bloodstain Menagerie. However, a shadowy figure would assault Devin constantly after the final match against Reborn.
Finally capturing the mysterious person (or so, he thought), it was revealed via video screen that the attacks were by the returning MS Factor. Vengeance was boiling in his heart since the days of JHW and Devin would be forced to fall victim to him. MS Factor’s acquisition of a championship match against Devin in mid-2011 ended Devin’s first reign as REW World Champion in a bloody mess. Yet, the vicious cult leader would come back after MS Factor nearly a full year later from his REW World Championship win on December 1st, 2011. He would challenge MS Factor to a rematch and go on to win his 2nd REW World Championship in a Bloodbrawl match. The Bloodbrawl match was REW’s take on an Ironman match, setting it in a cell with weaponry. The win itself was shadowed by Devin’s heinous actions during the match, where he would forcibly retire his enemy by breaking his leg beyond repair with a steel chair and a baseball bat.
Free from his enemies, Devin’s reign as champion would still see its negative outcomes. The Bloodstain Menagerie broke up with several members leaving the company, including Derek Draim. Conversely, several new members were rising the ranks. JP Masters, a British starlet, who excelled in high flying and technical wrestling. Alex Stryder, JP’s tag team partner, who brought forth a new era in (CAW) wrestling through his mix of technical wrestling and Puroresu. Finally, Devin would meet his match in his newest enemy, Ryan “Black Jesus” Atwater. Atwater was set to complete his Triple Crown (having won the Tag Team Championship with Anthony Michael Bazemore and the Reckless Championship).
Devin would be the one to take the Reckless Championship away from Atwater, but it only locked the two in a bitter rivalry that would lead to Devin’s downfall. Despite his attacks on Atwater, Devin walked into the REW World Championship match, where he would meet his end by a vicious lariat that brought Atwater to the stage. With no Menagerie and no World Championship, Devin went berserk and came back after Atwater. In the haze, Devin would cheat his way to a third REW World Championship, but his acts would only draw Atwater close to the throne he thought he possessed. Winning against Reborn in a non-title match, Atwater secured his right to face Devin once more. In the culmination of their war, Atwater proved too strong and in a similar fashion to what Devin did to Reborn, Atwater would silence Devin once and for all with two of the same vicious lariats that won him the World Championship originally. The federation would go on hiatus months after but returned in 2012 under the guise of a “third” season.
Third Season and Departure
Devin KONSTANTINE would return under REW’s new system, officially becoming a Light Heavyweight competitor. At the time, a new faction, the Sythe would form. Ryan “Black Jesus” Atwater was their ace. Tony Bazemore was an excellent mic worker and manager but held a grip on the Intercontinental Championship with his ruthless submission ability. Devin received an offer but declined in favor of finding his own path. There, he would meet against Chris Lethal, the Sythe’s Light Heavyweight representative. The two would clash multiple times before Devin would defeat Lethal in the third ever Bloodbrawl.
With a title opportunity, Devin stood against the then Light Heavyweight Champion in David “Young Blood” Young and JP Masters. Defeating both JP Masters and Alex Stryder, Devin would go on to fall to David Young by tapping out to the Young Blood Leg Lock. His next chance to become number one contender, he would fall to JP Masters. From there, Devin would compete in smaller matches before letting his contract expire with the company.
“I’ve given REW everything that I could. My time, my blood, and my dedication. However, the world is my oyster. A four-time World Champion must spread his wings elsewhere, right?”
Independent Tours (2011 - 2017)
Devin would scour the independent scene, acquiring another top championship in the Internet Wrestling Federation, a start-up company, defeating Damian Morasko to win their championship. He would vacate the belt later on, due to him signing to a new exclusive company.
In a touring show for AOW (All Original Wrestling), Devin Brando would face against Ryan Cavallari (now Ryan LeCavalier) in a highly regarded match. Their rivalry blossomed into a friendship and an off-and-on relationship, but their matches would always draw some eyes to the product.
Pure Nonstop Wrestling (2013)
PNW (in no relation to CWC’s Pacific Expansion) was made by several members of the defunct REW and TXW (Total Extreme Wrestling) in retaliation to the booking decisions going on in TXW at the time. Devin would join and debut in the main event against N9NE, Jason Holtz, and Keith Mason. Not winning drove Devin to attack Jason Holtz, starting his first feud in the company. He would lose at their first PPV, Open Warfare, after receiving a Jumping Cutter onto a steel chair. Despite the loss, Devin would advance on to challenge for the National Championship.
In a gauntlet match to determine the first championship, Devin would defeat Andrew Watson, an old rival in Brian Walker, Brian Giovanni, and the undefeated and match favorite, Draven Frost. As he laid in the ring, tired from the hellacious line of matches, an old rival would rise forward.
“Black Jesus” by Everclear played and Devin’s nightmares would come back for him as Ryan “Black Jesus” Atwater made his way down the ring. The Sythe, now rebranded as the Standard, came down to plant Devin with another Golden Lariat and take away his chance of being the National Championship. The next show, Devin would defeat Jason Holtz, rectifying his earlier defeat to secure a shot at the National Championship at PNW’s Day of Reckoning.
There, he would end the career of Ryan Atwater in a vicious match and he won the PNW National Championship. He would hold the belt until the federation’s closing.
Total Extreme Wrestling (2013)
Devin would make a one-night-only appearance, where he would defeat Cody Forte for the debuting TXW Internet Championship. He would then drop the championship to the returning Jacoby Vengeance.
New Generation of CAW (2014 - 2015)
The next stop in Devin’s career would be in NGC, where he would debut with a loss against the fresh fan favorite, Dallas Blaike in the inaugural World Championship tournament. Yet, as a proud Canadian, Devin would be put into the fatal-four-way at NGC Resurgence for the International Championship. He would go on to become the first champion in the match against Brent Delivine, Robin Storm, and Ryan Giovanni.
From there, Robin Storm sought out to antagonize him, discrediting his win, due to the way he won. As Robin Storm struck Brent Delivine down with a superkick, Devin hurled him out of the ring and stole the victory. Devin chalked it up to intelligence, but found Storm’s words to be offensive. Robin would go on to earn his shot as he pinned Devin in a tag match, featuring Brent Delivine. Storm would allow Devin to pick the stipulation, leading to a sneak attack. Devin would beat his foe bloody with ladder shots, proclaiming that his favorite match had always been ladder matches.
At NGC No Remorse, Devin would successfully defend his championship against a very game Storm. The match was touted as the most barbaric with several spots that could have easily ended careers: Storm powerbombing Surefire onto a set of chairs, Devin reversing a diving crossbody into a powerslam against steel steps, and the final push off the ladder into the outside announcer’s table that got Devin the victory.
Devin would be set to face against the debuting Vibi, losing via roll-up, but nothing further could come of the result as NGC would close their doors, due to backstage affairs.
STRICTLY EFED ERA
RWD: Revolution Wrestling Division
Devin would make his debut in RWD on their opening show, where he would lose to Maxwell Schneider in the main event. After which, he would chase after the RWD World Championship for some time and feuding with Frank Washington. Devin would win the feud, beating Frank Washington at their Christmas event before the fed's closing.
PAROUSIA (2016)
Brando would sign with the innovative PAROUSIA, where he was immediately brought into their main event scene. He would lose in the first main event, consisting of himself, Simon Raines, and the winner of that match, Ramsey Bodach. After which, he would be placed into their Crowning Tournament to see who would become their first ever Emperor (their equivalent of a top championship). He would lose in the first round to Markus Pascal, due to dubious measures. Throughout then until his next fateful encounter, Devin would rack up wins against several younger wrestlers. That would change when he stood on the opposite end of Kevin Hardaway, a fellow deathmatch veteran. The two's heated battle would wage on until a time limit draw brought fans to an uproar. After such, a rematch was placed in lieu of it being the first of a best of three series. Hardaway would win the first match but Devin's retaliation served as one of the most gruesome moments in the company's short life. Hitting Hardaway post-match with the Midnight Murder Scene, Devin went on to make, as he would quote, "a metal sandwich" as he crushed Hardaway's head between two steel steps, leaving his foe in a pool of his own blood. The two would battle it out until the finale of the Tartarus, a deathmatch ironman set inside of a horrific cell. The two would wage war until Dexter Jacobs would intefere, leaving their ultimate fate of their feud unknown.
CWC: PNW (2017)
ASCENT Pro Wrestling (2017)
In ASCENT, Devin would come in as one of the most experienced roster members. Yet, he still lost out in the final battle royal to determine the first ASCENT Champion. It wasn’t before long that he racked up wins to secure his first shot at the ASCENT Champion. He claimed his sixth World Championship and didn’t sign on with F2W after the merger.
